Bliss Motel
Well, after what was thought to be a single release collaboration between friends has now turned into 3 LP's and counting (see NEWS). The swamp has been percolating with plenty of activity as Swamp Dylan dishes up their new LP entitled - BLISS MOTEL. As always the original premise of 'the best thinking being no thinking' was in force and applied in spades. Many of the original Swamp players are still intimately involved, but there are many new twists that should alter any preconceived notions that Swamp Dylan is 'this' or 'that'. Continuing the trend started with ROOTS, Swamp Dylan heads back to the bayou but this time they stop to swing on the streets of New Orleans a while. With songs like Floater and Moonlight dancing with brass n sass and a lot of tongue in cheek moments in between. On Had A Dream About You, Baby, trumpets, mouth harp and fiddle blend in a gumbo that begs for a dip in the murky waters which make up the swamp. The bayou has never been a place for everyone. It has been and will continue to be the place where the mosquitoes are the size of horseflies and the gators are always hungry. Not everyone can live under these conditions but Swamp Dylan calls it home and finds it the best place to mix up and blend their swampy mixture of musical Bliss...
